Admissions

We enroll children from 2.5 to 6 years, providing preschool and kindergarten programming.

Our hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

We provide: - Breakfast (family style) - Morning snack (prepared by the children in the Montessori classroom) - Lunch (family style) - Afternoon snack (family style) We offer nutritious, whole foods with an emphasis on locally-grown fruits and vegetables and organic when possible.

I hold my AMI Montessori (3-6) diploma as well as a M.Ed. in Montessori. Additionally, I hold a state qualification to teach K-6 all subjects and a BA in English and Elementary Education. I have nearly 15 years in education around the world ranging from teaching to being a Head of School. From first aid/CPR to MAT to Emergency Preparedness, All teachers have passed thorough criminal and abuse background checks, reference checks, hold Montessori training or Forest School certification depending on role, hold active First Aid/CPR certificates, and have at least two years of experience. All assistants have passed thorough background and reference checks, are First Aid/CPR certified, and hold additional qualifications and experience.

We are we are a member school in both the American Montessori Society and Virginia Montessori Association. All teachers and house members are safe and caring individuals, rigorously background and reference checked.

We use two apps, Brightwheel and Transparent Classroom, at our home daycare to communicate with you. We also call whenever there is an injury/emergency situation.

Yes. While we may make some exceptions on a case-by-case basis and can certainly assist the child with parts of the process (wiping/washing hands/buttoning...) or for example a nap time pull-up, we ask children be primarily toilet independent prior to their start date.
