Outdoor Learning
At Highland Hills, children enjoy exploring 6.5 acres of private forest land, playing, building, climbing, and "being children" with our learning guided by the principles of the American Forest School Kindergarten Association
Waldorf
Play Learning
Our warm, homelike environment includes three carefully curated indoor play spaces designed for open-ended, imaginative, and creative play with opportunities for both free play and group activities. These special spaces inspire imaginative play and also help the child feel safe and well-regulated through cozy, homemade toys, seasonal activities and crafts, and process-based handwork and art.
Montessori
Hands-On Learning
In our Montessori Classroom, our preschoolers and kindergarteners develop strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills with hands-on Montessori materials. Our authentic Montessori environment provides a beautiful foundation for life-long learning.
